Choosing
Compare Them Side by Side
A motor is not a different product. It is a small motor fitted inside the headrail, which is the housing at the top that the fabric rolls into, and it does the job the cord would otherwise do. Almost everything we make can take one, so the real question is which windows justify it.
The three that usually do: glass that is too tall to reach comfortably, which in a condo often means every window in the room; a run of several windows you would rather set in one move than one at a time; and any house with small children, where losing the dangling cord altogether is the point.
Everything else is a convenience, and a worthwhile one, but it is a choice rather than a fix.

Fitting
What you use to actually move them
A handheld remote is the default and it is what most people use day to day. A wall switch is worth adding where a remote will get lost or where the window is in a shared room, and it fits in the same place a light switch would.
Phone control comes from a hub, which is a small box that connects the motors to your home network, and it is also what lets the shades work with voice assistants.
The feature people end up using most is the schedule. Shades that close at four in the afternoon on the west side of the house take the heat out before the room gets ahead of the air conditioning, and they do it whether or not anybody is home.
For a house that sits empty for part of the year, that one setting is usually the reason the motors paid for themselves.
Where we fit them
Measured and installed across South Florida
Every motorization on this page is made to one set of windows: yours.
I'd like to get startedAt your windows
We bring samples of every motorization on this page to your home and hold them against your own glass, so you can see how each one looks in the room it is going into before you choose. Everything is then cut to your own openings, which is why it sits flush in the frame.
Fitted in less than 30 days
Most installations finish in less than 30 days after you order, fitted by our own experienced installers. The visit costs nothing, and by the end of it you will know exactly what your rooms are going to look like and what it costs.

Questions about motorization
We measure and install motorization across Broward , Miami-Dade and Palm Beach .
What happens in a power cut?
Battery and rechargeable motors keep working, because they are not on the house supply at all. Hardwired and plug-in motors stop until the power is back, and the shades stay wherever they were. Nothing is damaged either way.
How long does a rechargeable battery last?
It depends on the size of the shade and how often it moves, and we will give you a realistic figure for your own windows at the appointment rather than a number from a brochure. Charging is a cable into the headrail, the same as charging a phone.
Can I add a motor to shades I already have?
Sometimes, and it depends on the brand and the hardware. It is worth asking, but it is often close to the cost of a new shade once the labor is counted, and a retrofit rarely runs as quietly as a motor built in from the start.
Does it work with Alexa or Google Home?
With a hub, yes. The hub connects the motors to your network and the assistant talks to the hub. Without one, the remote and the wall switch still do everything; you just lose voice and the phone app.
