Glare on screens on the west side of the floor at four in the afternoon, solved with the openness of the mesh rather than the color of it.
Three kinds of job, and the thing that changes between them is never the product.
Glare on screens on the west side of the floor at four in the afternoon, solved with the openness of the mesh rather than the color of it.
Rooms that have to look right in full sun at lunch and under low light at dinner, without anyone adjusting anything in between.
White on the outside to satisfy the association, anything you like on the room side, and the whole building ordered together so it matches.
Glare
On the west side of a building, the last two hours of the day are the worst two. People close the blinds completely, lose the view and the daylight with it, and work with the lights on at four in the afternoon.
A solar shade fixes it without doing that. It is a mesh, so it cuts the glare and you can still see out. How much it cuts comes down to the openness of the weave: tighter blocks more light, looser keeps the room brighter. We bring a range to the building and you look at your own screens through them.
About solar shades
Consistency
Fabric is dyed in batches, and two batches of the same white are never quite the same white. Order fifty shades together and they all come from one batch. Order them a few at a time across a year and the front of your building ends up wearing three different whites, which is obvious from the street and expensive to undo.
One will get damaged, and then the question is whether you can match it two years later. We record exactly what went into every opening, and we tell you before you order which fabrics are still likely to be made in five years and which are not.
Before the survey
Anything not answered here gets answered on site, and the survey costs nothing.
Usually, and it is worth asking early. Bring us a sample or a photograph of the headrail and we can tell you whether it is a current product, a discontinued one with a close match, or something that will have to be replaced across a whole elevation to look right.
For an office or a restaurant, yes. Fitting during trading hours is disruptive and usually slower, so scheduling around opening times generally suits everybody.
We measure a representative sample and then check every opening, because buildings are rarely as consistent as their drawings. The quote covers the whole run, and ordering together is both cheaper and the only way to be sure the fabric is from one dye lot.
That depends on the fabric still being made, which is why we record exactly what went in. Where a building needs guaranteed matching for years, we will tell you which products are safest for that before you commit.
Let's make your home feel complete. We will reach out and help you get started.
